Mission
Established in 2019, the Peter Dubens Family Foundation supports mainly UK charities and charitable projects in the areas of education, marine conservation, children’s welfare, and health.
The foundation has instituted a number of significant annual recurring donations, for example to the Royal Foundation which supports the work of the Prince and Princess of Wales, to the Ocean Family Foundation which donates to existing and start up marine and ocean orientated conservation projects, to Weizmann UK which supports the Weizmann Institute of Science in Israel, one of the highest ranking multidisciplinary scientific research institutes in the world, and to the Taigh Mor Foundation where the foundation’s annual grant finances the provision of Places to Stay for those in the Armed Forces in need of pre-deployment mental fitness, resilience, and wellbeing preparation, and for post-deployment respite, recuperation and family reconnection.
Additionally, the Peter Dubens Family Foundation has provided several significant individual grants both to important long established organisations such as Cancer Research UK, the British Film Institute and the Hepworth Wakefield art museum, but also to lesser known charities which carry out important work, such as Greenhouse Sports which uses inspirational sports coaching and mentoring to counter the effects of disadvantage, engaging young people and improving their life chances, the Make a Wish Foundation which helps fulfil the wishes of children with a critical illness between the ages of 2½ and 18 years old, and Child Bereavement UK which supports families and educates professionals when a baby or child of any age dies or is dying, or when a child is facing bereavement.
The foundation does not accept unsolicited requests for donations as it chooses charities to partner with.
These are some of the amazing organisations which the foundation supports.

WaterAid works with its supporters, partners and local communities to make clean water, decent toilets and good hygiene normal for everyone, everywhere.
Without clean water, people – often women and girls – have no choice but to walk long distances to fetch and drink dirty water. This impacts their health, their education and their livelihoods. And climate change is making their situation worse; every day, already fragile water supplies are at even greater risk of disappearing completely.
With local communities WaterAid finds sustainable solutions so that people can change their lives for good.
